Saltwater Boys Company was born at my dining room table out of a passion for finding cute and practical clothing for my own boys during the Summer of 2021. With supervision from my VP of Operations, Kate, of course.
My sons Pierce (8) and Welles (5 months) are two of the great loves of my life and I love dressing them in cute clothes. My family and I live on the Georgia coast on a tiny island called Saint Simons Island and have been in this area for 10 years. While we live on SSI year round, we head to the gulf coast of Florida on weekends and every chance we can. Some of our favorite gulf towns are Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, North Captiva Island, Anna Maria, and the 30A beaches just to name a few. When we are not at home on St. Simons, you will probably find us playing or fishing on a beach somewhere.
I was born and raised in South Georgia all of my life in a wonderful mayberry-esque town by the name of Homerville, Georgia. It will always have a piece of my heart. I am a proud Southerner through and through and love all southern things including but not limited to: seersucker, monograms, diet coke, BBQ, the "Dawgs", my alma mater —Georgia Southern, cheese grits, seafood, anything fried, antiques —specifically china, and southern cooking. In addition to SBC, by day I'm a nurse, a mom, wife, and a blogger (https://www.mommietourist.com/) But as much as I love the south, I might love the coast even more.
At Saltwater Boys Company, saltwater is more than just a phrase. It is a way of life on the coast for all boys. It means playing in the ocean from sunrise until sunset. It is lazy days spent on the beach and when everything they own is covered in sand and they love it that way. Our goal at Saltwater Boys Company is to provide clothing inspired by the coast for boys with exceptional quality in mind.
Our philosophy at SBC is the saltier and sandier — the better! From the Georgia coast to the Gulf of Mexico, playing in saltwater is not just a pastime for boys, it is a lifestyle.
